Up for sale is this 1954 masterbuilt stratocaster loaded pick guard. It includes the coveted custom-wound 1954 hand wound by Abigail Ybarra. I am parting out my 1954 Yuriy Shishkov Masterbuilt Stratocaster. Please see my other listings for the neck, body, and other parts. Please note: this listing is for the loaded pick guard only. The body, neck, back plate, neck plate, bridge, etc. are not included. You just get the pick guard, pick ups, pick up covers, pots, knobs, switch, and switched it. Everything on the pick guard. These are not your typical 54 custom shop reissue pick ups. These were specially made only for the masterbuilt 50th anniversary 1954 guitars. These pick ups are unique in that they precisely duplicate the exact specifications of original 1954 Stratocaster pick-ups. In particular, they use oversized Alnico 3 pole piece magnets. The stagger on these is also slightly different, with a taller D string magnet. The magnets themselves are also slightly larger. All this contributes to the distinctive "chunky "early stratocaster tone. I have a genuine early 1956 Stratocaster with a 1955 body and pick ups. This is the only guitar that has come close to duplicating its original sound. Most of that is in the pick ups. The Pickguard also has the original pots and original three-way switch installed. It will be disconnected from the input jack and carefully packed for shipping. The screws will also be included. These guitars also came with exact duplicates of the plastics for the pick guard, covers, and short skirt knobs. They had original parts lab tested so as to ensure precision in the materials. Some of the parts were even cut using original tooling. The pick guard shows light wear from ordinary use. The price is $999.99 or best offer.
