Extremely rare 1985 Gibson Les Paul XPL Sunburst Flametop with Original Hardshell Case This is an incredible opportunity to own a vintage Gibson Les Paul guitar that was only made for one year, 1985. From my understanding, this guitar was made by the custom shop in 1985. At the time Gibson was shutting down their operations and almost out of business. The only remaining employees worked in the custom shop making only several models. This being one those guitars. It's in excellent condition for a 30 year old guitar. Very, very minor buckle rash on the back and a small ding on the top towards the bottom. The set-up is exceptional with little ware on the frets. It plays and sounds as good as it looks. This guitar sings! The Schaller tremolo system functions perfectly and the original bar is included. It was even an upgrade at the time it was built. It comes with the orignal black hard shell case.
