The 3=sum is a tri-mono passive summing network designed with the intention of two of the networks being used for stereo operation and the third network being used for mono operation, thus giving you extremely tangible LCR masters.For this design, we have utilized three fully balanced independent passive summing networks that are comprised of the finest components giving the end user the ability to easily create LCR masters outside the box. The 3=sum utilizes your mic amps for rectification or summing amplification. The concept is that you have four stereo pairs out of your D.A.W. and four mono outputs out of your D.A.W. with a stereo pair of mic pre's rectifying the stereo material and a third mic pre as your mono rectifying amp. The outputs of your mic amps can then be recorded back into your D.A.W., essentially giving you tri-mono masters with a unique blend ability as well as the ability to further process your dead pan mono material independently of the stereo material.This device as with all Little Lady devices and interconnect can be used independently or can be combined with our other devices to help you build your LSIC or small format console of your dreams. The described designs' intent is only one method of using this device; you could use it simply to access mic amps as tone devices or to combine sources before the pre, etc... the possibilities are huge, you decide. We pride ourselves on building hand crafted modular toolsets so you are able to build the tonal beast of your choosing. As always, this product as with all our products, is handmade in Austin Texas in our small shop in small batches and is supported by a 5 year warranty!
