I found this need instrument at a consignment store and knew someone would appreciate and give it some use. I researched on line and found out it is called " koto" or a horizontal harp. A traditional Japanese musical instrument, is made of a board. It has 13 strings and is played with small plectrums attached to three finger tips of the right hand. Playing the koto is popular among some women as part of their culture.
It is a hollow wood body with carved design. I am not an expert therefore selling AS IS Measures: 6.3ft. long and 12”Wide. Type: 13 strings.
Condition: Good vintage condition. Has Asian description on back. Missing bridges, and some of the strings needs replacing. The surface shows some small indentations, unsure if it is characteristic or a flaw,-see pictures.Ships Free
