Here's a rare bird for you! A 6.5X14 heavy birch snare, which is rare enough on its own, but this one is in a clear, blonde finish!
It all starts with a 14 ply, 18mm all birch shell! An absolute BEAST! Top that off with tama's famous die cast hoops, and you have all the attack and volume a growing drummer could ever need or want! It also features freedom lugs and the quick touch strainer mechanism.
Classic tama birch snare drum on steroids. That's the best way I can describe it!
The hardware is VERY clean, with the one exception shown in a close up of the inside of the top hoop. The shell is nearly perfect with only a small chip in the outer ply, also shown in a close up.
Overall an easy 8.5/10. Great, classic tama quality and there's not a lot of snare sounds I like more for heavier music than seasoned birch. Especially THIS much of it!
