Originally this W. S. Haynes flute was purchased by the U.S. Quartermasters Corps. for the United States Military (whose initials U.S.Q.M.C. are engraved on all three joints).  This W. S. Haynes flute is all sterling silver with original gold springs and has now been completely restored.  It plays flawlessly at A=440 with a touch that is light and instantaneous and has both a B trill and an offset G configuration. This is a doubler's dream and serious players’ finely crafted lifetime instrument.  The case was originally designed for a B foot Pearl flute but I felt it completely suited this flute; there is also an original Pearl outer carrying bag to further house a cleaning rod and protect the exquisite wooden case finish.
