DESCRIPTION The Community VBS415TM Subwoofer System is a high output, high sensitivity, vented low frequency speaker system with extended low frequency response. It is designed to be used with the RS Series trapezoidal flying array loudspeaker systems. The VBS415 is comprised of four 15" cast frame low frequency drivers mounted to a centrally-vented enclosure. The long excursion, Ferrofluid-cooled drivers encorporate a rigid, light weight cone coupled to a proprietary triple-spider core. This device produces exceptional transient response, low distortion, and low frequency response down to 25 Hz. The VBS415 enclosure is constructed of heavily- braced black spatter-finish 13-ply void free Baltic birch plywood. The enclosure has four steel handles andisprotectedwithsteelcorners. TheVBS415 may be ordered with optional steel rigging installed (choose VBS415RG). For outdoor or climate- resistant requirements, the VBS415 is available with a hand-laminated fiberglass exterior (choose VBS415FE) The VBS Series Subwoofers are optimized for use with Community RS Series loudspeakers and the appropriate System Controller. The RS electronic controller, which acts as an electronic crossover, equalizer, and dynamic compressor, monitors both the RS System and the VBS415 via feedback from the loudspeaker system’s amplifier.
