Measuring 1-3/4 deep and 16 at the lower bout, the resonant single-cutaway body is crafted from 3-ply maple and features an arched top and back that are both highlighted by sparkle binding. Under the hood, a long spruce center-block runs the entire length of the body. Aside from incorporating the lively, spirited tonal qualities of spruce, the center block allows for a more high gain-friendly performance by minimizing the notorious body-resonant feedback that's most closely associated with hollow body guitars. In addition to that, the center block is chambered at the lower bout to minimize the weight of the guitar. Producing a rich, full-bodied voice, the pinned wood bridge base extends over the center block about 5/8 on either side to optimize the transference of string-vibration to the two f-hole-vented body chambers. The 3-piece maple neck is carved into a comfy V profile and topped with a 12 -radius ebony fingerboard featuring pearloid Neo-Classic Thumbnail inlays.The Gretsch G6139CBSL Silver Falcon Center-Block Single Cutaway comes fitted with a pair of High Sensitive Filter'Tron dual-coil pickups. Not only are these pickups designed to combat the unwanted noise and electrical hum that's typically associated with single-coil pickups, but these Filter'Tron pickups will add a nice warmth to your sound while giving you a substantial increase in both sustain and output. To shape your tone to perfection, this Silver Falcon features a 3-way pickup selector switch and a 3-position master tone switch.
