This particular model is one of the early 'Hendrix' and 'The Who' era amplifiers, with the 100w, as oppose to the 50/120w versions.Although this has a few mods and changes, it still retains the originality that makes these so desirable in todays market.Product Details Serial Number: NAWatts: 100 watts Impedance: 4, 8 or 16 ohms Power Valves: 4x EL34 Pre-Amp Valves: 4x ECC83 Power Valve Brands: 3x Mullard & 1x Electro HarmonixPre-Amp Valve Brands: 2x Mullard 1x Brimar & 1x TungstramTransformers: Original PartridgeTransformer Codes: TG8950 (only visible)Voltage Selector: 110v, 220v, 240v Selector Service History We pride ourselves on the inspection, authentication, and service of each amplifier, making this ready to plug in and play. It may require extra work to get it up to a high standard, but plays great as it is.Please note that it is the philosophy of The Music Locker to keep all amplifiers as original as possible, only changing original components when absolutely necessary. This includes valves, capacitors, transformers, potentiometers, etc. This gives the buyer the option of tailoring to their exact needs, and may mean that the amplifier is not operating at optimum performance levels. Therefore, your personal preference may differ, depending on your circumstances (i.e. collector or musician), and you may decide to service the amplifier in more depth upon receiving. The Music Locker cannot accept responsibility for any costs of refurbishment to a standard different to the one advertised. Cosmetic Inspection This has obviously been well loved in the past. The recovered vinyl has marks, scrapes and scratches all over it, and the changed red piping is parting ways with the vinyl. The front and back panels have marks, as pictured, and some of the knobs have chips out of them. The name 'BADS' is stencilled on to the side of the amplifier, finishing off that perfect 'gigged' look. Please have a close look at the high resolution photographs below, as these form part of our description.Originality In our opinion, the important parts of this amplifier are original, with a few internal components changed. The amplifier has obviously been recovered and repiped, along with a few of the knobs on the front changed over the years. There has been an added 'volume' control that acts as a sort of pre-amp gain, prior to the master volume days. This could be reversed but we decided to leave it as it is. Summary Overall, this is a very rare and collectable amplifier. Not only is this sure to increase in value year on year, but also it can be an enjoyed investment. You’re more than welcome to come along and have a play on this, coupled with one of our vintage guitars! Where else but at The Music Locker!
