For sale is a fantastic lap steel electric guitar from Gibson. This model is the BR-9, which was a part of Gibson's product line from 1947 to 1959. This instrument has an incredibly sweet tone, with great sustain and a nice balance between treble and bass response. Cosmetically this lap steel is in good condition for it's age, with plenty of dings, nicks and scratches across the body but no big gouges or any structural damage to note. The clear guard has a low crack in it around the volume pot, but is totally stable. Included with this instrument is the original hard case, which is in good shape but the top has separated from the back hinged edge (can be seen in last photograph of case open). If you've been looking for a great vintage lap steel, with great tone and playability without breaking the bank than you could do no better than this excellent players instrument.
