Unique 600 series features consist of torrefied tops, revoiced body shapes with specially-voiced bracing and wood thicknesses for each shape, a thin finish with a beautiful violin-hued 'Brown Sugar' body stain, tone-enhancing protein glue adhesives, Taylor Expression System 2 electronics, and new elegant aesthetic appointments that offer a strikingly fresh take on a Taylor favorite.Featuring all of the tone-enhancing 600 series refinements, the Taylor 616ce offers tons of volume, low-end power, projection and incredible sustain while producing a warm, rich, broken-in sound that you normally wouldn't expect from a maple guitar. Even with these sonic enhancements, the 616ce still maintains maple's superb clarity, articulation, tonal focus and sparkling top-end shimmer. In addition, the 616ce employs other tone-enhancing refinements including protein glue adhesive and a super-thin 3.5-mil gloss finish to minimize dampening. The back sides also come dressed in a new, hand-rubbed Brown Sugar stain that highlights maple's enticing flame figure. Elegant 600 series adornments include new grained ivoroid Wings fingerboard inlays, ebony binding with grained ivoroid purfling, an abalone rosette outlined with ebony grained ivoroid, and a striped ebony pickguard inlaid ebony backstrap that offer a stunning visual complement the Brown Sugar-stained body.
