The Xone:4D is an amazing piece of kit - currently selling new for $1,500 to $2,000 at Amazon and other retailers - and as a combination DJ mixer / DJ controller was way ahead of its time. As a 4 channel analog mixer it can accept turntables, CDJs or any other type of input you care to throw at it with the usual unbeatable A&H sound quality. Then the 20 channel sound card with full MIDI mapping allows control of 4 software decks and opens up a world of possibilities for innovative performance options, from fully analog, hybrids adding the likes of Serato, Ableton and / or Traktor, through to fully digital setups, and with the option of live recording, sampling and playback. All sources can - and should! - be run through the legendary A&H filters and LFO.All of the MIDI controls are fully customizable for any combination of software, but to get you started there are Ableton and Traktor overlays on the A&H website. With the Xone:4D Allen & Heath really thought of everything - the unit even glows in the dark up under UV (club) lighting so you can see what you are doing!This particular unit has seen home use only and works as perfectly as it did the day I first took it out of the box brand new.
