This auction is for an original vintage 1956 gibson les Paul gold top with a rare dark back (not a reissue)The guitar has no break...no crack...no repaired....A few dings and scratchs from being 60 years old and well played but nothing ugly....All pickups ,wiring ,hardware ,finish, and plastic are original to the guitarThe only changed on the guitar are the two volume pots that were changed in the early 70s with correct replacement pots (500 ohm)The first owner did it instead of cleaning the pots...and i never wanted to touch anything simply because this guitar the way it is sounds fantastic and has a lot of mojos...Also it was refreted by me with taller frets than original and the job is perfect you just dont feel it like the original...and its easier to bend (but the old frets are in the case see pix)The plastic nut was replaced with a bone nut for better intonation and tuning ( original plastic one is in the case)The ABR-1 on the guitar at the moment is an aged reissue with titanium saddle (but the original ABR-1 is in the case)These changed were made only for better intonation and sound preferenceThe new owner can put back the original ABR-1 , plastic nut and even the frets if originality is necessary...The neck is perfect...just the right size Guitar ring and vibrated naturally when unpluged Intonation is unbelievable ..just perfectBoth pickups are hot (neck 8.00 ......bridge 8.30)guitar weights 9 poundsThis is a very good les paul gold top and one of the best i had...if you ever buy it you ll know what i mean when you will play itThe original case is in very good condition (5 latchs)If you have any questions that i forgot to described or need infos on shipping or anything else email me through ebay or feel free to call me during the day at : 514-276-6789Guitar will be ship from Montreal Canadainternational buyers please email me for a quote on shipping Buyers is responsable for insurance...and i wont ship without itPlease avoid the price on shipping its only an approx...Guitar can seen and played in person if you want or can be inspected by pro of your choice from this city ( there is a few)
