This is a USA made silver Bach Omega Bb trumpet in excellent condition. It is in outstanding mechanical condition and has just had comprehensive maintenance services performed on it in preparation for daily use. The valves are excellent, fast, and just plain perfect. They are the centerpiece that displays that this horn has been well maintained and responsibly owned. The valve slides operate smoothly and cooperatively, with the ring finger controller and thumb saddle operating with a very nice light touch. The trumpet makes a very nice presentation as it is in very good ascetic/cosmetic condition.
THIS Omega is a USA Bach, not a made in China TR500, Bach Liberty, TR700 Prelude, or a lesser student/intermediate horn with "Omega" etched into it, as Bach has been a little loosy-goosy with model names over the years. THIS Omega has many of the pro model's parts (Stradivarius: the Bach flagship) in it's construction, and it shares the "center section" (valve body & assembly) with the Stradivarius.
Fact is, Bach discontinued the Omega because it took away sales from their pro Strad, and good condition Omegas have become extremely sought after on the used market. You get SO close to a fully pro horn, for a ton less cash than a Strad. Plus my listings are always a good 30 to 40 percent lower than comparable horns, the reason why nearly half of my sales are to music stores- essentially making me a wholesaler direct to the public.
Condition: USED. Trumpet displays various minor cosmetic demerits consistent with prior use. No significant scratches, just the light haze/swirl type scratches normal for silver finishes. There are absolutely NO dents, and really, nothing that could fairly be called a ding. Very discrete evidence of professional small ding removal. Small areas of light silver tarnish/imperfections. The trumpet looks great. Please examine the pictures closely as part of the description of this horn. I zoom-in tight and declare absolutely everything so that my customers do not buy surprises!
