Yamaha AE1200 models and love the good one's... This example is a true vintage guitar its condition fit & finish is just as pictured keep in mind its nearing 30 years old it looks like near mint no chips - or deep scratches or cracks anywhere!... yes some aged looking gold tarnish but not unsightly or significant its Vintage Gorgeous condition with patina as they say Its has a particularly striking classic Vintage sunburst is just beautiful and strong with no obvious or noticeable fade.. This Neck has a very nice feel its 1-11/16ths at the nut with a nice medium profile feel to it and seems fast. Fingerboard & frets - inlays - bindings and its finish are all excellent AAAA tarnish seen on pickup covers, beautiful Tortious multi bound proper pick guard on her too... tuners show just minimal tarnish... the action is great and its easy to play making this guitar a joy to play for hours,Those of you Yamaha fans know the quality Yamaha Japan puts into its instruments this Flagship model guitar one of the Top line for Yamaha and the pulled out ALL the Stops and really nailed this guitars feel and vibe a great Jazz guitar to please the discerning. Side note I saw the a great Tony Bennet in concert live and up close & personal a few years back and his Guitarist played the Yamaha that night and was quite impressive. Those concerned with Laminate tops may research feedback from owners of both the AE1200 & the Ae1200s tonal differences after 30 years in said to me in many cases negligible and subjective, in the positive column for the Laminated 1200 is they are able to play live loud with much less feed-backing issues associated with full hollow body guitars monitored , also they are less prone to cracking as compared to solid tops another + in MHO This is one of the best of the best deals in HIGH QUALITY Japanese crafted L-5 type Jazz guitars to ever come out of Japan. This guitar is in excellent 9.2/10 vintage condition. This is a lot of guitar for this kind of price unbelievable value and compares favorably to the Gibson in play ability and it tone and in the beauty department overall amazing example here folks...many of these have suffered the ravages of time and the tailpieces rust away and to prevent that this tailpiece was"over sprayed" with thin nitrocellulose lacquer just like they would do in the old days to preserve the parts to help prevent rusting out...this one has already been treated...see it...
