A Lachenal 46 key Macann Duet concertina. It has the number 58019 behind the fretwork but this is totally wrong as that is not a Duet number. Inside it is marked on every surface 1606 which is its genuine number and would date to around 1900.  I think some previous restorer has put another original number from an English concertina on by mistake. It has rosewood stained ends, bone buttons, steel reeds and a good set of 6 fold bellows.I was told by its last owner that it was restored by Mike Acott-but he didn't make a mistake with the number-it was there when he restored it.It is in very good condition , fully restored with new pads, valves , straps and tuned to concert pitch. The bellows have been beautifully rebound-it has a very good set of reeds and it plays really well.It has its original case which has been changed to make it sit on its side-which all concertinas should do.Almost all concertinas on Ebay are unrestored-and if it doesn't say that they have been restored then they almost certainly have not been-and that means a hefty bill to get them playing properly in concert pitch. This one is done and ready.Duets are very popular at present and this is listed at a give away price for a restored one-so Don't Miss It!Postage would be £20-by courier-insured in the mainland U.K. It would be £60 to the States.Good bidding!
