The body design recalls the early Custom 24 guitars: a thicker mahogany body, a more exaggerated body carve and scoop, and a smaller original-style neck heel. The pre-factory neck is comfortable in every position. From there, the Private Stock really let loose. Brazilian rosewood's sonic and aesthetic beauty goes a long way on the fretboard, and you can get lost in the Private Stock-grade top's depth and complexity. Electronically, you'll find two of PRS' new 85/15 humbuckers, sweet but powerful pickups that can thrive in just about any style. The master tone knob also doubles as a sweet switch; just like the Custom 24s of the 80s.
