Vintage '65 Blackface Fender Deluxe Reverb, new caps/tubes, '80s speaker, EXC NR

For sale is this Blackface Fender Deluxe Reverb, made in the year that the popular reissue was modeled after, 1965. All of the "iron" is original (see factory-stamped #s) & the Tolex has only minor dings. The hardware has little rust, the grill has only one small hole. The original filter caps were recently replaced with F&Ts, the tubes have had almost zero playing time. The power tubes are Electrharmonix, rectifier is a Mesa, all preamp tubes are Groove Tubes. The foot switch is original, as is the reverb pan. The power cord is an 8' replacement (grounded, "death cap" removed). The ceramic magnet on the Fender/Eminence replacement speaker is larger than the original Oxford, I'd guess that it was rated at 40-50w. I took pics of the #s stamped on the frame, looks like it was made in '84 & it sounds much better than the original Oxford - louder, with more headroom.The reason why the '65 Deluxe Reverb is the Holy Grail for Fender amp aficionados: the tone is unsurpassed. This is a prime Deluxe example; it twangs, it sings, it sustains - it does virtually everything & anything you want it to do. The amp's background noise level is extremely low - even when dimed - with absolutely no hum.For a 51-year-old Deluxe Reverb, this is about as good as it gets. This would be the ultimate Christmas gift for any guitarist! If you've been shopping for a vintage Blackface Deluxe Reverb, don't let this one get away!
