For Sale: Avedis MA5 mono preamp Price: $700.00 *Firm Details: I’m downsizing my preamp collection and making room for a 500 series EQ. I’ve used and loved the MA5 for a couple of years now. The unit works great and is also physically flawless. I bought this unit brand new in December of 2014 and it has lived in a smoke-free studio environment ever since. The MA5 is a Neve-style preamp much like a 1272 or 1083 models, however Avedis does not claim the MA5 to be an attempt at a ‘clone’ of any Neve module. It sounds great on everything I’ve used it on (male and female vocals, bass guitar, electric guitar, acoustic, banjo, mandolin, ukulele, various percussion instruments). I love the 28k feature which, when engaged, adds roughly 6db of 28k (air) to the signal. This is very cool on vocals and acoustic instruments.
