Bit of a story behind this one.  In short, if you're looking for a pristine 'survivor' Explorer for show, this is not your lot.  If you're interested in a cheaper, great looking and playing 90's Explorer then read on! I bought this on Gumtree from a guy who was 'too busy' to get me any close up pics of the frets.  And guaranteed they were good.  When it arrived it was obvious there had been a refret.  Slight bevel/chamfer in the wood either side of each fret. There was also some fret wear, not a huge amount though.  I had a fret dress done and some tidying up of the woodwork either side of the frets. It's still not perfect. In fact, not noticeable until you get up close. See the pics. The bevel is not that deep, you can barely see the depth on it.  Maybe 0.5mm or less. James Bragg did the work (https://www.facebook.com/James-Bragg-Guitars-185810214944104/).  I also removed the Gibson pickups as the pole pieces were corroded, replaced them with an SH2N and SH5 custom in the bridge. A superb ceramic bridge pickup, meaty and heavy for metal.  Or can be dialled in thick for bluesy rock stuff.  The wiring was also faulty, I found an earth fault and a broken wire.   The better news is that the wood is absolutely great for a 20 year old guitar.  She looks great.  No major dings in the usual places. If you would like any close ups let me know. Also, new fretwork means another decade of playing in perfect intonation, she plays great - I mean it.  The frets are super shiny and rounded. So there you go, full disclosure like I never had.  Plus all the repair work and original hard case. Open to offers and trades.  Keen on multiscale baritone 7's at the mo but will consider anything.
