•Magnatone Lyric Double-neck 8 string – circa 1958 – last year of productionWe find these to be sleepers. Lesser known guitars that compare with or out-shine better known more expensive comparables. It has the hottest pickup and killer sound. This is one of the most desired guitars from the time when lap steels were most popular. The hot pickups make this guitar sing. These pickups are highly favored for being so hot. They were the inspiration behind one of the Lollar pickup remakes. It is easy to overdrive. The sustain is remarkable. With this set-up you can make this guitar growl or sing. 22 ½“ scale. This plays like a dream. You can achieve sounds from spacy to hawaiian. It’s a very versatile instrument. You can have it twang or scream. The sustain is remarkable to begin with, but if you boost it, it can reach new heights. These pickups are quite hot and treasured by those in the know. It has been well taken care of. The finish is fine. All original. Keystone tuner buttons in good condition. Please check out the photos. They are high resolution and can be enlarged. Awesome sound. Hot Pickups. Cool Design. Plays well with others (or solo). In great shape. But, sadly without a case.
