Description
You are looking at a 'Josef Jan Dvorak' full size swell backed double bass made by Strunal in the Czech Republic serial number 50/27 PM 4/4. It was supplied by Thomann their reference number 1E TN 4/4. The bass is constructed from 'toneo tone wood' laminate with a spruce laminate front satin finished, with an ebony finger board and adjustable bridge. The strings fitted are Thomastic Spirocore medium. As you can see from the picture taken through the F hole it is toneo laminate not toneo veneer on ply wood this tone wood is a first choice for the top grade piano manufacturers as well as for larger string instruments. The playing length is 43" upper bout 21" lower bout 28" and depth 8 3/4". The bass plays like a dream with a deep rich tone and amazing volume I have been so pleased with the bass I am reluctant to sell it, but I am informed that we need the space and three double basses is just to much in one small home. I would suggest that you google the Strunal range of basses to see just what the quality is and the prices being achieved for similar models. I have tried to find damage or blemishes but I honestly can't find any and can only describe the bas as being in perfect condition.
