Martin Solid Genuine Mahogany 000-15. This is one of the best Martin guitars I've owned and was my first all genuine mahogany guitar. I am hooked! The only reason I am selling this one is that I bought an OM 15 which I like just a little better because of the wider nut. Martin has been making some version of these guitars for about 80 years and there is a reason for their popularity. The genuine mahogany of this guitar, produces a strong, loud sound with quick response and an emphasis on a warm midrange, that makes it perfect for blues, folk and country styles. Check out the reviews on Musican's Friend, a lot of people think it is the best deal in the Martin line-up. This guitar comes with the original Martin TKL hard shell case in good condition.MODEL SPECIFICATIONSConstruction: Mortise/Tenon Neck JointTop: Solid Genuine MahoganyRosette: Herringbone StyleTop Bracing Pattern: A-Frame "X"Top Braces: Solid Sitka Spruce 5/16Back Material: Solid Genuine MahoganySide Material: Solid Genuine MahoganyNeck Material: Solid Genuine MahoganyNeck Shape: Modified Low OvalNut Material: White CorianHeadplate: Solid East Indian Rosewood/Raised Gold FoilFingerboard: Solid East Indian RosewoodFingerboard Width at Nut: 1-11/16Finish: SatinBridge Material: Solid Genuine Indian RosewoodSaddle: Martin Compensated BoneTuners: Martin Gold Sealed TunersThis guitar is in very good overall condition with only a few very small nicks or starches that don't show up on the photos. The guitar has had some repair work done by a professional luthier. Look closely at the sound hole pictures and you can see a crack starting at the sound hole. This has been glued and patched so it is completely stable. There was also a small gouge in the lower back edge. My luthier did a good job filling and blending this area. See the picture. Except for these repairs, the guitar would be a strong 8.5 or 9. Because of the repairs, which do not affect the playability or sound at all, you have a chance to purchase a fantastic guitar that retailed for about $1,500.00 for less than half the price. I'm putting a very low starting price for this terrific guitar. May you be the lucky new owner, you will glad you did.I only sell to the 48 states, sorry. Contact me first if you are somewhere else and we can talk.
