Description

National/Valco Reso-phonic 1033 Lap Steel Guitar 1956 – 1st year of production 22” scale This vintage guitar is in great condition. It plays well and sounds great. I love the unique sound these guitars have. Sounds like a resonator guitar crossed with a banjo. Much sought after, there was even a spin-off company formed in 1988 that continued with the manufacture of these beauties. A unique tone used to good effect in videos available on youtube: see Ben Harper & Chris Whitley –  Overall; there is some minor surface oxidation on the resonator. The pearloid finish is a beautiful and less seen Black and generally very good with no bubbles, though there is missing vinyl on the bottom where the laminated section was coming loose which we re-glued. The tuners look like new and we replaced the tuning pegs . The case is original; functional and in good shape. All in all, a cool & unique collectible player. They do not make them like this anymore.
