Up for auction is a 1979 Greco SE-380 Stratocaster. I bought this from a dealer in Japan it was refretted there not sure of the fret wire used but the install was well done. Maple neck with dark rosewood fingerboard, the neck profile is thin C shape. I completely stripped it down to the husk and upgraded with new Fender pickguard the plastic is still on. Tone Emporium TE-1 Testify Texas Blues pickups, neck 5.9k, middle 6.1k, bridge 9.15k . New Eric Johnson style custom wiring harness with 250k pots and Russian vintage .1uf K40Y-9 PIO cap. The bridge pup is wired to work with tone control #2, the neck uses tone control #1 the middle has no tone control. Oak Grisby 5 way pup selector switch. Switchcraft 1/4 mono jack. Hipshot tremolo which stays in tune better than a fixed bridge, Grover locking tuners, Tusq nut. I then sent the guitar to Weber Custom Guitars for Plek service and setup. This plays and sounds as good or better than any Fender that I'ved tried. Hate to sell but need to finance another project. The condition is outstanding for a 37 year old guitar , there are a few small nicks and scratches on the body, no belt buckle rash whatsoever, no nicks or dents on the neck or headstock, the headstock is the late 60's large version. The original color was most likely white and has faded over the years to a beautiful crème color. The orginal parts that I removed will be included. Comes with hardshell case.
