Peter Henderson bagpipes, ebony or very dark blackwood, made prior to the catalin era.  Stamped with the maker's mark in the cord guides, flat combed, wood projecting mounts, German silver ferrules, with casein drone rings and bushes.  Playable period chanter has been beautifully restored, with a new sole matching the drone caps.  Small under-ferrule hairline cracks were correctly repaired in the tenor and blowpipe stocks.  Wonderful condition for their age, very few small dings.  The sound is what should be expected from bagpipes of this maker and era; solid, steady, and full.  Rare to find in this condition. They will be shipped fully insured.  Additional photos available on the Pipe Gallery section of the Shasta Piping Society webpage.
