Up for auction is a 1965 Elkhart Conn 36B trumpet (serial number 877451). This horn was built in Conn's famous Elkhart factory. The bore of the horn is .438" (Conn #1 bore). The bell is 4 5/8". The engraving is crisp and clean, and reads "C. G. Conn Ltd./ Connstellation/ Elkhart--U.S.A." This horn looks beautiful and plays very well. The Conn "clickless" valves feel very mechanically sound, with no wiggle from side to side. As for the aesthetic condition of the horn, there are a few scratches and a few very small dings. The stop nuts on the slides have been replaced. This is visible in the pictures, and none of it affects the playability of the horn. The silver plate is in fantastic shape and is 100% intact--the only wear on the finish is on the valve caps. This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop and repaired to full playability. This trumpet comes with a mouthpiece in good condition, and a its worn original case. All horns are located at Silver & Brass Music Shop710 N. Curry St. Carson City, NV89703(775) 301-6289
