What makes this guitar special: An excellent player's grade 1960 Strat with just the right mods allowing it to still be affordable. The body was refinished quite some time ago & has aged nicely over the years with lots of natural play wear. The neck was professionally refretted with bigger frets & plays like dream. The pickups are newer Seymour Duncan Antiquities & sound fantastic! Professionally set up by our luthier with fresh strings & low action, so she's ready to go straight out of the case.Cosmetic Condition: Good honest play wear, just the way we like 'em - various nicks, chips, dents & dings; surface scratches, weather checking, buckle rash & some finish wear. Overall the guitar has a great look to it with a gorgeous patina.Neck: C-shape maple neck with some light birdseye figuring. Dark Brazilian rosewood slab fingerboard with clay dot inlays. Professionally refretted with bigger frets which show only mild wear. Original Kluson Deluxe tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 5/8" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Neck is straight & truss rod is functioning. Pencil date is 7-60.Body: Contoured, solid alder body refinished in blonde. Original bridge & saddles with newer trem block. Unoriginal, single-ply parchment pickguard; trem cover is missing. Guitar weighs 7 lbs 12.2 oz.Pickups: Seymour Duncan Antiquity single coils with staggered poles. Bridge - 9.53K ohms; Middle - 12.57K ohms; Neck - 6.43K ohms. Unoriginal 5-way selector switch; master volume & dual tone controls with original knobs & pots, which date to '60. All electronics are in good working condition.Case: Unoriginal tweed hardshell case included.
