This horn is in really nice condition and is 100% complete, and all ready to play right out of the case. The beautiful original shiny lacquered brass finish is approx. 99% intact (WOW!) showing only light wear from normal gentle use. The lacquer finish on this one has been very well preserved and has a nice rich gold-toned luster. This trumpet has that durable Conn goldlacquer with nickel silver trim. The Conn Model 16B trumpet was designed to be a high quality student trumpet. Serial number is GI620XXX (indicating it was made in 1976), and the bell is engraved "CONN U.S.A." with some fancy scroll work and the 3 marching musicians. This trumpet has smooth quick reliable valves - Conn makes some of the best valves in the business and these valves are as smooth as butter! All slides move freely and have just been lubricated. The build quality on this trumpet is top notch and Conn has been a well respected horn builder for over 100 years. This trumpet is in great shape overall with no major dents, just a few shallow little dings if you look closely. This trumpet also features an adjustable 3rd slide ring, mother-of-pearl finger button inlays and traditional lever style waterkeys. This Conn 16B Model has been recently play tested and inspected and is all ready to be played and enjoyed. It plays very well as you would expect from a Conn. It's very freeblowing with a beautiful melodic tone. This one comes with its very nice deluxe hardshell black gladstone Conn case, which has working latches, soft plush-lining, a sturdy handle, some extra storage room for accessories, and the very neat "CONN" logo plate on the exterior. The case is in great solid shape and provides excellent protection for the horn. A clean mouthpiece is included as well as some Conn valve oil, so you can get playing this beauty instantly.
