Description
NOTE this is also for sale cheaper locally on Bakersfield C L if it does sell there first i will take down this ad.I have an Epiphone elitist les paul here in white. It's slightly off white, this was called arctic white originally and it is the rarer of the color schemes from this series. As many of you know these guitars are epiphone in name only. They were commissioned by Gibson and made by the esteemed Fugijen company in Japan. They are widely regarded as high end guitars.I have owned and sold both epi's and Gibson's and this is the 4th Epiphone elitist i have had up for sale and i will give you my honest review of this guitar. This one to me is hands down better than the Les Paul studio's that i sell for 75-100$ higher. A comparable guitar to me would be a particularly nice Studio Deluxe. Only the nicer deluxe's i would say have been equal overall to me to the Elitist. I think it is in the ballpark of a Traditional or a Standard, they are comparable guitars in terms of their feel, tone, and especially they long sustain with a slow gradual note decay. There are things about this guitar that set it apart. One thing i have noticed in every elitist i have owned is the wiring is phenomenal. It has "quiet" wiring. When you play on a high gain amp with uncovered humbuckers and you take your hands off the strings, you hear very little noise, Much much more quiet than my Gibson Lp deluxe. The pickups are also unique. They have been compared to the 490r/490t, but i do not find they sound like that combo. They are higher output than a classic PAF type pickup. But they are more blended and rounded sounding than the 490r/490t, The treble is not as spiky, They sound to my ears like a smooth moderately high output pickup with an even EQ, not a mid heavy or spiky sounding pickup. The finish work is really classy to, it keeps well. I have seen younger guitars that have more of a faded out look to them. This one has a classy luster to it. The fretwork is very nice to. They seem to me wider and flatter than their Counterpart guitars. Now onto this model in particular. It is in good used condition. See pics for condition. It has healthy frets, good hardware and overall gloss to the finish . it has minor dings, one on the back, and small one's on the edges. There is a small mark of off colored paint on the bottom edge. And the strap button has been moved up a few centimeters and the old hole filled in. It holds fine and is very sturdy. The overall appearance and luster of this guitar is very classy and fine looking. I am including a non original hard case with it. It's a Gibson branded case in good shape with a plush red interior.I will ship it via fedex, fully insured. My price includes shipping, insurance and has no tax to you.
