1973 Fender Jazz BassSee Thru Blonde over Ash BodyExcellent Near Mint ConditionThis is my personal 1973 Jazz Bass. I got it in 1975 and it was still new. I played it in a Funk Band for 8 months. I was very careful not to scratch it then...or ever. Then I went back to guitar and put the Jazz Bass in my closet in 1976. Although I take it out to play it, most of the last 40 years it has been in the case.The Translucent See-Thru Blonde Finish looks awesome on the Figured Ash Body. The finish is Creamy Colored and the Ash Figuring can be seen through the Translucent Finish. The neck is straight. The pickups and pots are original to the guitar and sound great. Pickups are original and were rewound by Lindy Fralin many years ago. The Rosewood Finger Board has White Binding and Block Inlays. The frets and fretboard have no visible wear. Back of neck wood is still very white looking not yellowed. Body has a few light marks from actually being played and handled. Just a bit of scuffing on the body right edge from case insertion. See pictures. Pots date 4th week of 1973 and the serial number is 374705. This is a no excuses survivor. Condition is certainly fantastic considering it's age. Not perfect. But certainly near mint. You'll never see another Blonde 73 this good. I've never seen one as good as this one in the 40 years I have owned it.
