Here is a newly offered Buescher True Tone soprano sax, freshly overhauled by a pro and playing at a very high level.
I love these horns and have owned my own similar silverplated True-Tone since 1974. They are warm, rich responsive and have arguably better ergos than a  Mark VI. Certainly the right hand side keys are placed much better for most hands and I prefer the palm keys as well. This is a #218xxx a later one with the roller G# and improved octave design. It just had a full pro overhaul by a guy who does horns for players like Jerry Bergonzi and Dave Liebman so it is set up just great. It had most of the snaps, all of the big ones but a few of the small pads didn't have the resos and he used brass. It is sweet and nuanced with the kind of complex tonality that is missing from so many thin and generic sounding modern sopranos. The intonation is very good for a horn of this era and can be made to play quite in tune with a little practice.Case is original and in excellent condition. Clean with no musty odors and the latches are working fine but it will need and a new handle, the mounts are there.Don't mistake this horn for one that is going to need hundreds of dollars of work to play marginally. This one is playing at a pro level right out of the box and the pads are new and have many years of life in them.No mouthpiece included but please let me know if you need one.
