What else can I say - it's just a superb instrument and when I purchased it in 2015 I had the option of purchasing a new 814ce. I did not do so because I think that Bob Taylor's  new magic man, Andy powers,  is a big dud who has completely destroyed the unique Sound that makes a Taylor a Taylor. So i wanted to be sure I was buying the best Taylor I could - and after playing many I decided that for me, the 714ce was just the BOMB. so why am I selling you wonder?  I'm heartbroken to let this guitar go - I was certain I would have it forever, but I have a family emergency that requires immediate cash so it is what it is. If i had about 2600.00 to spend, This would be the guitar I would get -- sincerely.  Also, the original truss rod cover and saddle, nut, ebony bridge pins, and even the original tuners will be included should you wish to restore the guitar to its original state - although it would pain me to think that anyone would choose to do so - it was a great guitar to begin with but wow, the bone nut and saddle really improved the tone. The fancy gotoh tuners - meh, I thought they would be a super improvement in tuning precision but no, they really weren't all that special - the Taylor tuners are just as good in my opinion and maybe less gaudy aesthetically - in any case, you decide - gotohs are on it, Taylor tuners (silver) included. I'll also throw in a nice Taylor guitar strap, Brown suede.  Oh, the electronics (ES2) are working fine - I plugged the guitar into an amp for the first time today and it all worked - treble bass volume - I'm not a performer so I had never done so before- in fact I thought something was wrong before i remembered I had to put the 9 volt back in that I had taken out the first day.  In fact the guitar has never left my apartment in Manhattan since I purchased and received it from Sweetwater last year.
