Up for sale is a 61 Gibson GA 400 amplifier in very good condition showing it's patina from years of enjoyment. This was Gibsons top-of-the-line amp and one of their best sounding amps they ever made. The 60-62 tweed era utilized the 6L6 power tubes 60 watt circuitry which produced a much better sound in my opinion, as opposed to the 6550 tubes that the 59 and earlier ones used. Also, it has a closed cab design which in my opinion produces a better sound. This is a three channel amp with each channel having a separate voicing along with a compressor. It's versitle to transport with the top handle and the two slots on the the sides. The amp is all original except for the speakers, electrolytic caps, and some of the tubes. It was just serviced with the new caps, power tubes and matched nos biasing tubes. The speakers are Jensen 12" vibrantos which sound great in this amp. Much better then the original Norelcos. Great amp at a reasonable price fully serviced and ready to enjoy !! PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Any item over a pound ships UPS Ground.
