Description Brand: Fender Fingerboard Wood: Rosewood Model: Stratocaster Neck Neck Wood: Maple Year of Manufacture: 1983 Country/Region of Manufacture: United States UPC: Does not apply
Here is a 1983 Fender Strat (Stratocaster) NECK for your consideration. This is a Made in USA neck and that year had a bunch of cool developments...a Bi-flex truss rod, a Wide-Thin neck with a flatter fingerboard radius, and Jumbo frets. It's used but in good overall condition with light to normal wear to the finish...frets still have plenty of life in them...the truss rod functions perfectly. If you've always wanted a Fender neck that had a more modern feel (slimmer with a flatter fingerboard) to it, then you will love it! I am going to leave the Sperzel locking tuners on it as it is drilled for them and they work perfectly (this was my main Strat neck for the last 4 years...and that guitar stayed in tune close to perfectly and I use the whammy bar a lot but that is also how well the bridge and spring adjustments were made) and that will help to keep your guitar in tune. If for some reason you don't want them, I'll remove them and refund you $30.00 before shipping the neck.Nothing else is included in this listing/offering...the body I am still planning on using myself...so not the string tree(s...one was already missing as I only use it on the E & B strings and I'm not sure what happened to the originals) or the body...not even the old strings...I simply took most of the pictures before taking it apart. This listing is just for the neck (but I'll leave the tuners on if you want them...or refund $30.00 and remove them before shipping it).Note that this is still a traditional 21 fret neck even with all the other improvements that Fender made that year so nobody will know your secret (how you are shredding on a stock Fender neck)! This neck is noticably thinner (about .79" - .8" at the first fret and about .85" at the 12th) and a little wider at the nut (1 & 3/4") than typical Fender offerings and you can feel it immediately (my Mexican Deluxe Strat neck is 1 & 21/32 wide at the nut and .83" thick at the first and .88 thick at the 12th). I prefer a little more meat in my hands so I'm going back to my old Mexican neck (that and I need the funds to pay for my other musical obsessions). No Returns. There is no warranty as this is a used neck so consider it "Sold AS-IS"...ask any questions you may have before bidding.
I accept credit cards through PayPal...this IS eBay and that is pretty much how it is done here. If for some reason that won't work, I am flexible...as long as I get paid somehow, I will ship your item...no payment = no item. International buyers are responsible for all import fees, duties, taxes, and any other charges your Country or Customs Office might impose (I participate in eBay's International Shipping program and it takes all the guess work out of those fees at checkout). Items will generally ship by the next business day and lots of times on the same day. I will only ship to a PayPal verified address IF you are paying through PayPal. I personally pack each item and my packaging has frequently been described as bullet proof. All USED items are sold "AS-IS" and no warranty is implied (even if the item still has a blank warranty card). All NEW items come with full manufacturers warranty unless otherwise noted. I am not a corporation and can't afford to offer returns (unless the item isn't as described...and I of course make great efforts to do just that) so I generally don't offer them. In the event you wish to return something, please get in touch with me first for a return authorization. All returns are subject to a 20% re-stocking fee . Items leave here in the condition described and no refund will be issued unless the item is returned in the same condition. Buyer is responsible for all costs associated with the item's safe return (including shipping, handling, and insurance). I am Howard and this is a VERY Small Business...it is just me here. I work only with items I am passionate about...generally just guitars and a few related accessories. I have played guitar for over 40 years now and take pride in choosing great guitars and accessories for both playing and collecting. I have literally made my living selling guitars for over a quarter of a century now (10 years at the biggest single location music store in the World) and have been here on eBay for 10 years now (and I have maintained a 100% perfect feedback and customer satisfaction rating the entire time). I'm very, very picky about what I play, and won't sell anything that I wouldn't (or couldn't) use myself. Check my feedback as it speaks volumes! Feel free to call me at 727-992-3021 with any questions and/or you can use the "Ask seller a question" link.
