This is a vintage Cabart oboe (pre-Loree) with a left hand C# key. This custom C# key was added by the previous owner and looks very well done. This oboe does not have a left F key. I would recommend this oboe for an advancing student or amateur. Features fully professional keywork with the exception of a left F key. That includes: All trill keys Split D key Forked F resonance Low Bb resonance Articulated C#-B mechanism The plating is mostly good, but does look pitted in some areas. This does not affect the sound of the oboe. It plays very well in tune at A=440 with a pleasant light tone. This oboe has previously cracked and been professionally pinned (6 pins that I found) and sealed. The wood was nicely refinished and the pins are hard to locate. The top joint seals superbly and the oboe plays effortlessly down to low Bb.
