Fender Telecaster 1972 Custom Shop Relic, Ltd. 2010·      Purchased originally in June 2010·      Custom Shop run of 30 guitars in 2010·      Serial Number R53533, weighs in at 7 lbs 3 oz <=> 7,19 lbs <=> 3,36 kg (using a digital postal scale)·      Schaller Security Locks installed, rusted/aged Fender original strap locks are included·      I am selling to finance other gear·      Little playing time, maybe 15 hours in total·      Bridge PU was replaced by a Kloppmann TLB 60 ·      Original Fender Bridge PU is in the case·      Neck PU modified/rebuilt by A. Kloppmann using the original PU material as a basis:o   PU design/layout changed to original of 1972o   Fender capacitators were replaced with correct ones ·      Following A. Kloppmann’s recommendation I also had exchanged the bridge saddles since they sounded flat and dull. Maybe Fender overdid the aging ? …  I once had a CS Tele Relic where the saddles were so rusted due to overdoing the relic/aging job at Fender that they could not be adjusted anymore … Two days in chloric acid did not do the trick, so they had to be thrown away … no kidding ! ·      The original saddles of the 1972 Tele in this auction are included for the sake of “completeness”. Feel free to re-install them if you are believing and praising everything Fender is doing/saying … but be prepared to compromise the guitar tone in case you do so ;-) ... And look out on Youtube for a video where Masterbuilder John Cruz is explaining the setup/tuning stability of a Relic Strat ... and watch him using sand paper on the bridge in order to get rid of the rust where the strings are touching the saddle ... ;-)Result:·      After the saddle and PU modifications the guitar significantly gained in overall articulation and response, string separation/definition, clarity and punch.·      The neck PU also gained also in warmth and “openness” and “shines” more (“window cleaning” effect ;-). Will work for Rock, Jazz, Funk etc. just fine.·      The bridge PU gained in cut, twang and bite. Can defy any Gibson LP ;-) Andreas Kloppmann (kloppmann-electrics”dot”de) is a German luthier who became “famous” for his recreations of vintage Fender and Gibson pickups. Probably Germany’s #1 address for this kind of stuff. He also builds and trades great guitars. Check out his website and reviews of his PUs then you will understand why I had no issue at all doing mods to a limited run Fender CS guitar ;-). Fender’s CS guitars and Fender amps are super awesome … but as for today’s Fender PUs there is still enough “headroom” left for improvement … ;-) Appointments as copied from the Fender Custom Shop Website back in 2010: LTD - Q1 Limited ‘72 Telecaster® Custom·      Series Limited Collection (1st Quarter)·      Model Name LTD - Q1 Limited ‘72 Telecaster® Custom Model·      Number 921-5000-(004) Colors (004) BlackBody·      Premium Ash·      Belly Cut in Body, ·      Toggle Switch on Upper Bout Neck·      Maple, Mid ‘60s Oval "C" Shape·      Scale Length 25.5” (648 mm) Width at Nut 1.650” (42 mm)·      Fender®/Schaller® Vintage “F” Style Tuning Machines Hardware Nickel/Chrome·      Three Bolt Neck with Bullet Truss Rod,  Fingerboard·      Maple, 9.5” Radius (241 mm)·      No. of Frets: 21 Dunlop® 6105 Narrow Jumbo FretsPickups·      1 Humbucking Pickup (Neck) => re-built by A. Even in Europe there are huge differences. So, if DHL has the lower shipping fees but does not insure high enough (because the receiving country’s post does not do it)  then we will have to chose UPS and it might cost a bit more. I will only ship fully insured. The winner of the auction has to fully cover these costs. Also, all possible custom duties that may occur when doing international sales/shipping will have to be fully covered by the winning bidder/receiver of the guitar. Concerning paymentI accept a direct transfer from your to my bank account (bank wire) only.If you chose another payment mechanism that would generate transaction costs on my end, then please cover for these costs and add them to the amount being sent to my account.I only accept the Euro as currency. You may pay cash upon personal pickup of the guitar but then please accept that we will go to next bank/cash machine so that I can take your money and put it directly on my bank account. I am not into playing the Blues because I ended up with counterfeit money ;-) Please email me for questions concerning payment. The money has to arrive on my bank account at the latest 4 business days after the end of the auction. Online/telephone banking is common today, so this should not be a problem. International transactions are also very fast these days, so I may accept 6 days for payments from outside Germany if direct bank-to-bank transfer is chosen. If money is sent to my account from outside Germany, transaction fees may occur at the bank the money is sent from and also at my bank which is receiving the money. E.g. if money is sent from the USA for sure there will be transaction fees. If sent from within the European Union, it depends on the individual bank if fees are charged. Anyway, all fees that may occur (at your bank as well as my bank) have to be paid upfront by the person who is sending the money. If you choose to buy a guitar in a foreign country then please accept that extra transaction costs are fully at your charge.   Important noticeArticle is sold “as is” in a private auction. No exchange/money refund possible after transaction is finished. Please ask all questions prior to bidding. I will check the feedback ratings of every bidder. If bidders with zero or a lot of medium/negative feedback participate please contact me prior to bidding. If I judge the bidder rating as being to negative I feel free to cancel the bids and exclude him/her from the auction.Hinweis zu Bestellungen und Gewährleistung nach EU-Recht
