The Deagan Standard Orchestra Bells are considered, quite rightly, to be the best sounding instrument of their kind ever made. Hyperbole? Come and hear them. They have an immensely sweet and clear tone with incredible sustain. They make most glocks sound like toys. These are the 1508 model, flat bars, 2.5 octave C-C (with an extra C#), low pitch with 1 x 3/8 highly polished triple plated nickel bars. They are stamped June 30th 1905. They have their original oak veneered case with brass Deagan badge and leather handles (no key) with the clasps all working. They also come with a pair of period bamboo handled brass beaters. These bells are in original unrestored condition and although fully functional and 100% solid, and ready to play, they do carry the marks of a vintage musical instrument of this age. The case has scuffs and cracks in the veneer and the bars have marks on their surface. Please study the photos to get a clearer picture and of course do not hesitate to ask if you have specific questions. In whatever way the top register remained in place during transit I'm not entirely sure and the fastenings and straps in the lid may need some attention. These bells were built by craftsmen during a time when cost didn't matter and when you see the quality of the bars and then hear them you can understand why even now they are ranked in the top tier. They truly sound amazing and I urge you to come and hear them if you can. They are quite rare to find in the UK and are priced well below any sets available elsewhere.I will courier these if necessary, please ask for a quote, UK or international. Collection preffered. Any questions please ask. Please also check out the other percussion instruments I have listed with more to follow, Musser M45 1950's Vibes, Deagan Diana pre war marimba and a very rare Slingerland Radio King 34 x 16 3 ply concert bass drum. Thanks
