Kilgour and Kron blackwood bagpipes, made between 1988 and 1995. The wood finish and swirled imitation ivory mounts are in great shape, except for the small chip shown on the tenor top ring that is common for pipes played through doorways during gigs. There are no wood cracks, and all parts are stamped with the maker's mark. Drones are straight and the wood is very substantial. A Kron poly chanter is included that pitches in the low 470s. These drones have the full sound expected from the time George Kilgour spent as an apprentice at the Robertson shop. These pipes are awesome to see and fun to play. They will be shipped fully insured. Additional photos available on the Pipe Gallery section of the Shasta Piping Society webpage.
