Voccoli "Bridgecasters" are not your ordinary barncasters. They're from the "other side of the bridge," all hand made in Brooklyn, New York. Using reclaimed, salvaged and eco-friendly materials, they embody both the vintage and the modern, the antique but ever changing aspects of the historic borough. This guitar is a perfect example of how beautiful pine can be as a tone wood. Light weight, visually striking, and endlessly resonant - you'll be blown out of the water after just a single chord. This guitar is made out of two pieces of knotted pine, cured in a vintage gunstock oil. The neck is made out of a single piece of high grade figured "bird's eye" maple, with genuine abalone dot inlay and a reverse headstock. The fretboard radius is 9.5" and the scale length is 25.5". The pickups are Fralin P92s, a genius design by the master Lindy Fralin - the humbucker sized single coils produce a clean, fat single coil sound without any of the infamous buzz. From jazz to country, these pickups can do it all. This mates well with the pure sound of the naturally finished pine. The telecaster-style control plate is reverse for easy access to the volume and tone knobs for swells and other techniques. The tuners are vintage-style Klusons. The floating bridge is hand made out of ebony, enhancing the tonal properties you'd expect from a regular solid body guitar. There is minor weathering on the finish and hardware for a lightly used aesthetic. Don't spend hundreds of dollars for exotic tone woods when you have a better sounding and visually beautiful alternative right here at home.
