Students new to the oboe face a financial challenge that the Da Vinci oboe solves quite neatly.  Most used beginner oboes below £500 are long in the tooth, hard to tune instruments with limited key work.  Once the student has reached grade three on one of these, they will soon be looking for a replacement. To get to grade six or beyond, there is limited choice in the market before stepping up to a new professional model costing in excess of £6,000. A playable, used professional oboe will cost between £2,500 and £5,000, but these instruments often weigh too much for young people, and may have faults.  Unlike violins, oboes do not improve with age.
The Da Vinci oboe solves that challenge and gives the player more head room for advancement until they commit to a new professional Howarth or continental model. This Da Vinci oboe was purchased from new for £1,455 and used up to grade six.
Hand crafted from Grenadilla wood (not plastic), it represents amazing value for money. It is fitted with the English thumbplate system of key work that is standard in this country and comes in a hard case with a fitted carrying bag. Plus you'll have all the keys that are the norm on much more expensive professional oboes.

Search on the term "Da Vinci Oboe" for reviews.  It is a good intermediate step after a beginner model or as your first oboe.
