Description

Here's my 1942-45 Gibson A-1. I've described it as an A-1 although it shares some features of an A-2. I suspect during the war getting completed instruments out of the Kalamazoo factory was more important than such detail. It has a Factory Order Number stamped inside of 4749H along with, in pencil, what looks like 'J2' and 'D2'. It's in very nice condition, a few little scratches and scrapes but nothing structural or ugly. Neck is straight, action is low. plays and sounds great. There are some grooves, from wear, to the lower treble frets but nothing that affects playability. It's all original, I believe, except for the pickguard which is missing. There are a couple of screw holes where it once was. On inspection, I believe the body may have been partially re-lacquered but, if so, this was a long time ago. It comes in a modern, deluxe case (think it's a TKL - made in Canada) in great condition and a great fit.Shipping will be by tracked, trusted courier and I package very well. Please ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer. I'm proud of my 100% feedback and have been a buyer and occasional seller on ebay for over 15 years.
