For sale is a lovely Boehm style wood flute made by the Buffet Crampon shop sometime before 1900. Flutes of that era were both lovely and well crafted, and this beauty is no exception. The grenadilla wood body is in excellent condition with no cracks, and the nickel alloy keys are in great shape as well. The flute was recently fully overhauled by Pat Nash of Mynett Music and plays very sweetly indeed. The serial number stamped on the back of the body is 0637. As the sounding length is 575mm, this flute plays at a pitch of around a=452. Comes in its original case in nice condition along with the lovely wood tenon protectors and a turned wood grease pot. This would be a great addition to any collection of 19th century woodwinds and is a good player as well. It has that sweet sound of the early French classic flutes!!
