1979 Juan Orozco No.8in its original Hard Case& a capo and tuning forkThis much sought after collectors vintage guitar is in very good condition and sounds wonderful as a high end Orozco should be. I prefer cash on collection to let the buyer testplay and inspect it prior to finalising the sale. But if it can be couriered fully insured and packed using professional guitar box.Juan Orozco is a Spanish Luthier(3rd generation) who was actively involved in the development of classic guitars in the mid-1970s (starting as early as 1969) together with great Japanese luthiers like Hirade Mass (Takamine), Matsuoka, Tamura, and Yairi, who then developed guitars for Tama, Ibanez and Aria (at that time the small workshop where they worked was in the company Hoshino Gakki who own Tama and Ibanez Orozco, Kohno & Sakurai all had Model No. 8, 10 & 15 (highest spec). According to an email correspondence by Juan Orozco , they are the same guitars, although Sakurai and Kohno have kept quiet about this. As you can see the no.8 is priced at $871. In 1984, it's apparently about two months take home pay.The Juan Orozco No.8 is not only a beautiful, it also have this darker tone which a lot of players prefer. Below is the demo of my 12 year old boy playing his Trinity Grade 5 piece. Please turn your volume up a bit as my camera phone is not that good on recording sound.Just for comparison, this is a Sakurai No.8 also played by my son taken earlier this year when he was preparing for his grade 4 test (sold a few months ago):
