Hello, Up for sale we have a lovely Fender Precision Bass E Series Made in Japan circa '84-'86 possibly matsumoku/fujigen going by the high quality. This is an early example of when Fender began moving instrument production to Japan and its really a nice bass to play and the fit and finish surpasses many modern MIJ or USA made instruments. Wonderful Olympic white finish with a 3 ply white/black/white scratch plate. A hard rock maple neck with rosewood fretboard and good frets. Really comfortable to play as well. I have tested the truss rod and it functions as it should. It is accessible at the heel of the neck. Light weight. Approx 4-5kg. High quality full size tuning heads. This is a very resonant bass with plenty of sustain. Standard 34" scale length. The body has a few nicks and scratches here and there which I have tried to illustrate in the pictures. The electrics are all stock to my knowledge. Looks like 3 replacement screws have been used on the scratch plate. This instrument was passed down by a friend who had owned it since the early 90s. Quite possibly the second owner from new. I can try to find out more info for those interested in the history. This is a fine bass and a collectible piece of Fender history for the player or enthusiast/collector. Sadly, I have no hard case for this but I can provide a gig bag and it will be very well packed for protection during transit. Cash on collection also welcome.
