Gibson Les Paul Deluxe – Vintage 1975 – Near Mint! – Factory Large Humbuckers –FREE SHIPPING!!
Wow. OMG. What can I say? This guitar is so clean, in such great condition. I honestly don’t see a single scratch, dent, nick, chip, or any buckle rash at all. If you had the hang tags it could be sold as new old stock. You won’t believe it when you see how fantastic it is.
It’s a rarity – I’ve seen a boatload of 70’s Les Pauls, never saw one with this combination of attributes:
• From 75 to 77, Gibson used a decal to identify model and serial. Those starting with 99 were from ’75. This one built 1975, purchased in ’76. See pix of decal and orig warranty registration card.
• Decal says ‘Deluxe.’
• Factory large humbuckers installed – see pix of pickup cavities – factory finish inside, no signs of a router used to replace small HB’s with large ones.
• Gibson reintroduced the Les Paul ‘Standard’ model by special order in ’75, but I believe those had ‘Standard’ on the truss rod cover. This truss cover is blank
• Possibly someone special ordered this Deluxe with maple neck and large HB’s.
Guitar plays like a dream – wonderful dark rosewood fingerboard - Don’t know Indian or Brazilian. What a beauty, and 41 years of mellow mojo. Comes with gorgeous original case inside with key and original registration card. There is one issue with the case – some shipping damage on the headstock end caused a split – see pix. Case is still solid and protective and in overall very good condition. Crack could be repaired.
