Vintage 1980s Premier Resonator Drum Kit in Gold WrapThe Resonator range from Premier first came out in the early '70s with cross-laminated birch inner and outer shells. This model is in a sexy classic 80's gold wrap.The unique feature of the Resonator drum set is that it has normal drum shells with a thinner 3 ply wooden ‘Resonator’ liner sprung inside. The outer shell mounts all the hardware, leaving the resonant liner free to do its job as a smooth sound chamber, enhancing the drum’s projection.These drums sound incredible - the bass drum is like a bomb going off! Classic rock drums with some scuffs as you would imagine with a vintage kit.Bass drum has scuffs on the top by the tom holder and on the bottom where it's sat on the floor. The 13" tom has tom rash from a snare drum, especially on one of the tension lugs where the metal has been scraped and gouged. There are scuffs to all three toms but all of these are just cosmetic and there's nothing to affect the sound.Internally the Resonator linings are all intact and in great condition. There's a tiny bit of separation to the floor tom lining but otherwise all are immaculate.Grab a classic British rock drum kit while you can!
