1930's Gibson made Kel Krydon #11 pot with modern replacement hardware. Five star "no hole" Flathead tone ring. Heavy ring (3lb 11.6oz). It has to be true , "No hole" flathead tonerings have lots more power and great tone. This banjo is proof. This is one amazing sounding banjo, I don't know if its the early OPF rim, no hole ring or the prewar neck but this banjo's sound and power is special. Its most likely the combination of great parts. See better pictures at Original rim and resonator from an older KK conversion is fitted with a RBOO prewar five string neck. The neck is an awesome player! Great sound. Maple neck with Brazilian rosewood fretboard with dot inlay. The neck measures 1.22" at the nut and 13 1/2" from nut to 12th fret.Straight and less than average wear for the age. Original working truss rod. Original lathe turned fifth string pip. The shape is a gentle V that is not noticeable to the eye but fits your hand perfectly. New Gotoh tuners work well. This neck is one of my favorites. This banjo has that extra special sound. If your in search of a good playing banjo with great tone, this banjo is it!Please email questions or we can talk about old banjo's 864 221 3545. Buyer pays only actual shipping (ebays estimates are usually wrong). I do trades and take most forms of traditional payment. Thank you for looking. Richard
