I am selling a good Nurnberger violin bow that I purchased from an accomplished violinist in Houston. It weighs 60 grams and is silver-mounted. The bow has excellent playing properties and lots of beautiful flame. I showed the bow to the two most reputable shops in Houston (Amati and Lisle). I learned that the bow is a better grade of Nurnberger and would retail for around $4K if in perfect condition. However, I also learned that the frog and button are not original to the stick, which reduces the value 20-30%. I just had it rehaired, so it is ready to play. I have priced it according to the information I have gleaned from Amati and Lisle, but I am open to offers. I think any professional would be grateful to own and play this bow.
