Up for sale is my 2008 Gibson Limited Edition Les Paul BFG (Barely Finished Guitar) signed by all 5 current members of Lamb of God. I bought this guitar at the official Bonnaroo Works Foundation auction at the 2016 Bonnaroo music festival in Tennessee. Lamb of God put on an AMAZING performance at the festival and I couldn’t resist making a bid for the guitar. As for the guitar itself - it may look unusual for a Les Paul, but it sounds and plays AMAZING. Plus, the Bullion Burst is a rare limited edition finish. Its like gold burst, or if you put a black burst edge on a goldtop.Playbility, Sound, Etc: I remember when the BFG line came out - I didn’t quite see the appeal, but I definitely get it now. These guitars are bare bones tone machines. The top is rough sanded, the nitro finish is barely there, no clear coat, no inlays, wooden knobs, etc (just Google "Les Paul BFG" if you need to know more). I used to think that guys who said stuff like ‘thick finish kills tone’ were full of it, but this Les Paul is honestly so much more resonant and lively than the standard line-up - so there must be something to it. The pickup combo is super versatile (P90 in the neck, Burstbucker 3 in the bridge). The neck is comfortable, but thick with a nice flat radius. Overall, it sounds great and plays great - I was shocked when I got it home from Bonnaroo and plugged it in. You will likely have a similar experience.Condition: Basically brand new. Its a 2008 model that Gibson donated to the Bonnaroo Works Foundation. They had it signed and then sold it to me and its been mostly in its case for the past 5 months.Lamb of God: As you can see, the guitar is signed by the legendary heavy metal band Lamb of God. Signatures include Randy Blythe (vocals), Mark Morton (lead guitar), Willie Adler (rhythm guitar), John Campbell (bass), and Chris Adler (drums). If you are a fan of the band, this is an awesome collectors item. If not - get out the sand paper and turn this thing into a project guitar. There are all sorts of cool mod ideas on forums. Lots of people like to use these as a blank slate for a custom finish.Specs:Body Style: Les Paul BFGBody: Chambered mahoganyTop: Carved mapleNeck: 1-piece set, mahogany with an angled headstockNeck Profile: '50s RoundedNeck joint location: 19th fretFingerboard: Rosewood with nickel and steel alloy fret wireScale Length: 24-3/4No. Of Frets: 22Nut Width: 1-11/16Bridge: Tune-O-Matic with stopbar tailpieceTuners: Grover tulipNeck pickup: P-90Bridge pickup: BurstBucker 3Controls: 2 volume, 1 tone, 3-way toggle pickup selector near volumes, "kill" toggle switch near bridge selectorFinish: Surface Texture nitrocellulose Bullion BurstThe guitar will ship with the original Gibson USA hard case and case candy (truss rod wrench, paperwork, etc).Shipping is $50 in Continental USA (more to Hawaii or Alaska).
